EW&S have had the very British pleasure of attending the Royal Enclosure at this most traditional and meticulously executed of race meets over recent years. Unfortunately just as we were about to act on Her Majesty’s Invite (it’s true!) Covid-19 hit and we soon realised that our most favourite of events was in jeopardy.
As British Racing resumes this month, for the first time in their history, Royal Ascot will be taking place behind closed doors, and the organisers hope we will join them in celebrating this unique Royal meeting!
During these uncertain times the team at Ascot are wanting to say a huge thank you to our amazing frontline and key workers, and throughout the Royal meeting they are proposing to say ‘thanks in style’ with a charity appeal they are proud to have started with a £100,000 donation to be split between The National Emergencies Trust Relief Fund, NHS Charities Together, The Care Workers Charity and the Berkshire Community Coronavirus Fund.
The ‘Royal Ascot At Home’ campaign is inviting us to dress up, wear a hat, drink champagne, encourage friends to do the same, zoom and share outfits and race tips (okay we added the champagne bit!) not forgetting to post pictures on social media using the campaign hashtags #styledwiththanks & #RoyalAscot
And to donate £5 if you can!
There is a fabulous flower wall filter available as your backdrop, give @ascotracecourse a follow to find out more….
You can check into the Racing Hub for an informed flutter, or if hospitality is more of a priority there are recipes from celebrity chefs who are usually cooking up a storm at the racecourse for you to try.
Also available is information on Royal Ascot Signature Serves, brought to you by Fever Tree and Pernod Ricard, Official Mixer and Official Spirits of Royal Ascot!
It’s all here! For the love of champagne, a hat, and a good cause, spend a few hours between now and the last race Saturday celebrating Royal Ascot at Home #styledwiththanks
