So, why are all the magazines aimed at mums so mumsy and why are all the good magazines based in London, aimed at women with huge disposable incomes who can run around in high heels all day and may have kids but they are never mentioned?

Well, not anymore! Earth, Wit & Style is aimed at women who have children and a life, who still want to know what’s current but live in the golden triangle of Leeds, Harrogate and York -although we welcome readers from further afield!  We will give you style tips, something nice to drink, delicious food, nights out, off the beaten track places to go with or without kids, a book you may have missed and much much more.

Meet Sophie

Sophie Russell is the head of the good ship Earth, Wit and Style. With kids now ensconced in school and the days of sleepless nights and nappy changing firmly behind her, Sophie turned her attention to resurrecting her career and, with rising levels of frustration that magazines were all a bit London-centric she took matters (or should that be magazines) into her own hands and decided to celebrate all things Yorkshire, local and awesome sewn up in a beautifully crafted on-line offering.

Lover of cheese, a skinny jean and her kids. Not in that order!

Meet Hannah

Our lifestyle editor is Hannah Young. Not called Hannah the Planner for nothing she has the ability to fill hers and her families time with the type of Insta friendly activities we all would like to be partaking in. Lured away from her property career and fitting around creating beautiful floral displays, Hannah’s job at Earth, Wit and Style is to take you by the hand and lead you to a world of Yorkshire and beyond you never knew existed.

Faerie seeking (believing?) creative, optimist, lives well, laughs often, loves much, mummy, out all weathers, loves good wine and quality coffee in equal measure….

Meet Kirsty

Kirsty is a freelance food stylist, recipe developer and enthusiastic foodie based in Yorkshire. She is never happier than when in the kitchen creating delicious family feasts for her husband and their four boys, a never ending task! She is equally as happy tasting her way around Yorkshire and further afield at restaurants new and old!
