Bomber Jackets

Not to be confused with the American style Varsity jackets which stormed, then swarmed, then saturated the high street about 5 years ago, this season’s most sought after cover-up is more elegant, ladylike and incredible easy to wear. Less varsity, more versatile – the Bomber jacket will go with everything: jeans (both boyfriend and skinny), 1950’s circle skirts, pencil skirts, cropped trousers, even shorts if you heading to the beach.

A great “go-to”- less formal than a suit jacket, not as heavy as a leather biker and, depending on how you like your fabric, it will take you from day to evening in one fell swoop.

Here’s what it won’t do:

1. Cling, or even skim.
2. Highlight your waist.

Hoorah. This baby is the master of hiding all lumps and bumps. Our only caveat here at Earth, Wit and Style is that you wear it open. If blessed in the breast department, you’ll look like you are smuggling an almighty horizontal sausage under your high fashion item if you dare to zip.
