Hideaway at the Hideaway Kitchen at Dunsforth

We’d heard a rumble and ‘spotted a chalkboard’ about the Hideaway Kitchen at The Dunsforth (formerly the village pub) in Lower Dunsforth so selflessly headed over there to quickly check it out.  Three hours later… we were still hiding out!  What a space!   The perfect ambience, loving created, with the ‘right’ tunes, the decor, the abundance of greenery, the furnitiure, the ceramics, oh the ceramics!!! The menu, the tempting smells, the service… we could go on.

Open throughout the day from 10am Wednesday to Sunday offering cakes, lunch, dinner, at the weekends brunch and Sunday lunch. The Hideaway Kitchen offers a relaxed and informal environment coupled with great quality food.

Co-founders Georgina and Amelia translate their passions, memories and emotions gained from their experiences as chefs, business owners and a love for family, into honest, simple and family-friendly creations. Their aim is to imitate the experience of dining in someone’s home (not ours, it’s far too cool and stylish there!) serving simple but immaculately prepared dishes highlighting pristine, seasonal ingredients served family-style with flair and vibrancy.  Georgina brings a wealth of experience from working in the food industry, heading up some of the best fine dining restaurants in North Yorkshire, and Amelia, the perfect partner, a serial foodie entrepreneur, founder and owner of a highly prestigious boutique hotel in Spain, and co-founder of the now-famous Bert & May Group.

There’s no stopping them ! You can also go to one of their cookery classes and learn how to make pasta, canapés and paella, or how to pickle vegetables, cure meats and smoke fish?

For more information take a look at www.hideawaykitchen.co.uk, you can also find them on Facebook and Instagram of course!  But the the Hideaway Kitchen is best in three dimensions… so go!
