It’s holiday time and we are here to tell you how to go from pool princess to cocktail queen in 0 – 5 minutes.
From Pool Princess…
No one wants to feel uncomfortable in their bikini or one piece down at the pool so grab yourself a tan. Choose either a spray tan by a professional or fake it yourself. You’ll instantly feel slimmer and ready to slip into that gorgeous bikini. We love Fake Bake £28.00 or St Tropez £30.50 and both of these brands offer at home as well as salon based treatment.
Waterproof mascara is a must have for any pool princess. We’ve road tested a number of mascara’s claiming to be waterproof but they often leave our lashes looking thin and sparse when we want plump full lashes. Maybelline have recently launched The Rocket Volum’ Express £7.99 and we love it!
If you can’t make it then fake it. Look like you’ve just stepped off the beach sun or no sun and reach for Bobbi Brown’s Pot Rouge for lips and cheeks in Fresh Melon £21.00. A gorgeous pink peach colour that will suit pretty much any skin type or colour. Providing you’re not going underwater this delicious product will keep you looking hot!
Secure your hair into a big fat plait to keep it out of your face and prep it for later.
….to Cocktail Queen
Ok so tanning done for the day and now is the time freshen up for that all important cocktail hour.
Undo your plait and run some Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray £23.00 through your hair to give it that sexy, tousled look and quickly blast with the dryer. Swap your Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for lips and cheeks for Raspberry £21.00. Grab some Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow £21.00. It comes in 13 shades but we love Sand Dollar. You can apply it with your fingers for that smudgey, smokey look and it won’t budge even if you get caught in the rain later. Add an extra sweep of mascara and you are good to go!
Simply add suncream, a stack of bracelets, flip flops and a great kaftan!
