And it has been said we are all in the same COVID 19 storm, but in different boats. Very true.
Team Balterzen, who in our previous life ‘PC’ (pre covid) offered ‘Hygge in Harrogate’ from their popular café premises in the centre of Harrogate, have taken the situation and it’s challenges ‘on’ and are determined to protect jobs and set the conditions for the company to thrive once they are able to re-open their doors.
The week of lockdown the ‘Bakeri Balterzen’ shop was due to open their third retail space, on the same street, a shop to sell the irresistible artisan baked goods handmade in their newly established off site bakery. That space still remains locked up but the bakery is fully operational offering an incredible delivery service covering Harrogate, Ripon, Boroughbridge, Pateley, Ilkley, Otley, Menston, Guiseley, North Leeds, Wetherby and parts of York! Delivery is free with a £20 minimum spend.
As the owners of Balterzen’s saw the effects of the corona virus unfolding they knew that it would place a strain on the ability to get hold of great bread. ‘Food is fuel for the body but we also recognise that having something delicious to look forward to in these troubling times is a lovely thing’ You know us so well!
As lockdown has gone on, (errrr quite literally!) In addition to their delivery service Balterzen’s have now opened their coffee shop from 9am-1pm Wednesday – Saturday serving coffee, brunch and lunch to takeaway.
Pre ordering food for collection is recommended, see their website and facebook pages for the menu and very up to date info regarding how to do this.
It goes without saying the safety of Balterzen’s staff and customers is paramount. Measures are in place to ensure this and social distancing must be adhered to throughout your experience!
Enjoy and stay safe!
