So here’s my top picks to help you look cool and stylish in no time.
It is the most gorgeous whipped mousse like bronzer that gives even the palest skin that youthful glow. Sweep a large powder brush lightly across its surface and dust onto your face where the sun would naturally kiss your skin (forehead, cheekbones, nose and chin). Although, this product is more of a luxury purchase it will last a very long time so no need to feel guilty about splashing out!
They make your eyes stand out and give your face shape. Also, defined brows can give you a polished look without having to make too much of an effort – bonus! Personally, I prefer to use powder over pencil as it gives a more natural look, it’s buildable, blends well and it’s easy to apply where pencils need a more experienced hand. I can’t pick just one product here as there are so many fab ones out there. But the two brow powders I reach for most often are Smashbox Brow Tech Trio, £17.00 and Gosh Eyebrow Kit, £8.49. If you are feeling brave and want to try a pencil then Mac Eyebrows in Lingering, £12.50 is great.
Mascara is the one product you don’t necessarily need to spend a lot of money on as there are some fabulous products among the high street brands. My favourite and believe me I’ve tried a lot of mascaras, is Max Factor False Lash Effect, £10.99 It helps to curl and define my lashes so I don’t need to curl them in advance, it opens up my eyes, makes my lashes appear thicker and longer, as well as not crumbling into my eyes after 8 hours wear.
Stila lip and cheek stain, £16.00 will make that happen. With a choice of 8 different shades there is a colour to suit everyone. Just apply a small amount to your fingers and apply to the apples of your cheeks blending out and upwards towards your hairline. You can even blend it with a bit of moisturizer for a softer look. Simply apply straight from the tube onto your lips using the brush. Add a slick of gloss or lip balm for a shinier result.
If however, your skin needs a bit more help try L’Oreal’s CC Cream (Colour Correcting) Nude Magique, £9.99
These nifty treats will work hard for you, not make you work hard to look and feel fabulous.
