We are all about supporting the independent retailer but something else alarming is happening, we are losing some of our great high street staples.
One in three Marks and Spencer clothing and homes stores is scheduled to close in the next four years and what will our high street look like without this British institution?
If you haven’t set foot in the clothes store recently you are missing out on a really stylish, affordable, fashion forward, age appropriate collection. But is the problem that within a store catering for such a wide age range sometimes it is so hard to seperate the wheat from the chaff.
So let us introduce you to Try Tuesday, a FREE yes FREE personal style and inspiration service showing you the best from the current collection at M&S.
So how does it work? You fill in a quick questionare about your personal style, what you would like your style to be and whether you want dressing for work, leisure etc. You are then allocated your own personal stylist who sends you three outfit ideas each month with links to buy. From time to time you will recieve personal emails from your stylist to check they are on the right track.
This is a truly great service and already in a couple of trial months we have been intoduced to items we would never have picked out in store. And so how will this help the high street? On a rare free couple of hours this weekend I made a beeline to my local store for a targeted try on. We know an online shop is so much easier when your juggling kids and work and swimming lessons and, and, and………….but how indulgent from time to time to have all the sizes available and a lovely lady on the fitting room door happy to nip out and get them.
So we encourage you to Try Tuesday what have you got to lose………….M&S?
